ACCIDENTAL POISONING.

[ This morning a man named Henry Le ! Mercier, residing in Gloucester street : Bast, died from the effects of an overdose 'of chloral. He had been a sufferer from ■ sleeplessness for some considerable time, and had been in the habit of taking chloral as a remedy. This morning he procured a bottle, the whole of the contents of which he appears to have taken, for when found dead by one of his sons at half-past one, the bottle was quite empty.
