» Ministerial Statement on j Friday. ■ [Pee Pbe.3 Association.'! i WELLINGTON, Jan. 19. 1 The Parliament buildings are being got j ready for the influx of the members, a number of whom have already marked their seats. It is not intended to alter the seating arrangement of the Chamber much beyond removing one or two benches along the back. Ministers held a long Cabinet meeting laßt night, and another this morning; but the Premier positively refused to allow anything to be made known before to-morrow. It is known, however, that final arrangements, whatever they may be, are now (made, and the Council appointments determined on. The latter ' may be gazetted on Thursday, or may be : retained secret till the Ministerial state- ■ ment on Friday. | The majority of the Auckland members [ went Sonth to-day by the Takapuna.
