AUCKLAND, Jan. IG.
A meeting of those interested in railway reform was held to-day at the Chamber of Commerce, under the auspices of the Railway Eeform League. The following motion waß passed :—" That this meeting desires that the members of the House of Representatives be requested to suppott a resolution to Toe submitted to the House to the following effect :— * That the House of Representatives desires that the Chief Commissioner should be directed, assisted by Me S. Vaile, to apply as early as possible the stage system known as Vaile's system to the Auckland railway.' " The Railway League intend to consider the adviaableness of sending Mr Yaile to Wellington to advance the interests of his railway scheme during the session.
