TIMARU WOOL SALES.

The second of the series of wool sales took place at Timaru yesterday. There were two thousand five hundred bales catalogued. la some there was very little if any change in prices to note ; some of the lots sold perhaps slightly better, and some again did not realise quite so well. There was a fair demand for pieces and locks, these suiting woolscourers, and merino wool seemed to meet with greater favour from buyers. One lot went up to 9ifd ; halfbreds went from BJd to 10} d; long-wool about 7d ; locks about 3d; and pieces 6d.
