« CATHEDRAL SCHOOL. Eecently the boya of the Cathedral school were treated to a pleasant outing by the kindness of the Key E. E. Chambers and Mr T. W. Maude, who took them in a couple of yachts to Purau, where they had a very enjoyable picnic. The annual distribution of prizes to the scholars took place on Wednesday afternoon. The prizes were presented by his Lordship the Bishop of Christchurch. who addressed the boys. Addresses were also given by the Eev Canon Cotterill and Mr T. S. Weston. The following is the prize list :— Form IV.— Divinity (Prize given by his Lordship, the Bishop of Christchurch), E. T. Harper ; Greek, E. T. Harper ; Latin, H. Wheeler; English and French, H. Wheeler 1, R. T. Harper 2. Form lll.— Divinity, J. H. Miles; Latin, J. H. Miles ; English, J. H. Miles. Form ll.— Divinity, C. A. Cooper ; Latin, K. M. Ollivier ; English, S. W. Palmer. Form L— Divinity, L. C. Batten; English, L.C. Batten. Mathematics.— Division 1., H. Wheeler: IL, C. Weston ; 111., A. W.Dudley; IV.. W. S. Pillans ; V., P. T. Shand. Drawing. — F. Knight. Music.— Choir (Professor Cook's prize) : E. T. Harper, 1; W. Kiver, 2. School: C. Ollivier. Conduct.— ln the Cathedral : H. Andrews. In the house (the head master's prize) .* F. Knight.
