• [Per Press Association.] COAL DEALEES. AUCKLAND, June 23. The coal-dealers of Auckland held a meeting to-night, when it was decided to form a Coal-dealers' Association. A Committee was appointed to draw up rules and fix a schedule of prices for coal. PEESENTAT.ON. NAPIEE, June 23. A purse of sovereigns and an illuminated address were to-night presented, by the members of the Philosophical Society, to Mr A. Hamilton, on his leaving Napier to take the position of Begistrar of the Otago University. BIBLE SOCIETY. DUNEDIN June 23. At a meeting of the Otago Bible Society, the balance-sheet showed a credit of £163. Those present deemed the financial position very unsatisfactory, most of the money received going in expenses. . A new constitution was adopted, and it was decided to withdraw from the trading department as soon as arrangements could be made.
