REGULATING A TIMEBALL.
Mr A. J. Potter, one of the leading business men in Newcastle, N.S.W., writes to the Sydney agents of the Waterbury Watch Company, under date Dec. 30, 1889 : — " I bavebeen selling your watches for the past two years, and they have given every satisfaction. I repaired one for Captain Bewick, of Wickhatu, which be informed me had gone for four years, keeping time to half a minute a week. Another wellknown resident, Mr Gingel.has one, with which he regulates the Newcastle timeball."
