THE COMMISSIONERS IN WELLINGTON. £Pxb Pbess Association.} WELLINGTON, Apbil 22. At the Sweating Commission Conctable O'Borke, Inspector under the Employment of Females and Others Act, stated that the factories in Wellington were a3 a rule clean and well ventilated. On Saturdays there was a tendency to keep girls at work beyond the hours fixed by the Acb. Daring his three years of office he had laid eleven informations, securing nine convictions. Mr Marten, Secretary of. the 'Bus Company, contradicted the evidence of the exgroom yesterday that the employees worked long hours.
