RAILWAY SERVANTS' SOCIETY.
The Executive Committee of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants held their usual meeting on Tuesday evening 1 . The minutes of previous meetings and business arising therefrom having been disposed of, some very important correspondence was read and considered. A lengthy communication from the Commissioners at Wellington, received yesterday, was discussed clause by clause, aud particular instructions were given to the Acting General Secretary as to the nature of the reply, to bo forwarded as early as possible. It was also resolved that a letter written previous to the receipt of that from the Commissioners be sent with the reply. The Secretary wasalso instructed to correct the alleged false impressions conveyed by a paragraph which appeared in the Times and Star of April 22, relative to the trouble at Lyttelton.
