» To-day a well attended meeting of subscribers to the above Club was held at the Junction Hotel, Rangiora. Mr G. D. Greenwood, presided. The meeting was convened to take evidence with the object of taking some action against Mr Holdsworth, of Amberley, for alleged shooting of one of the hounds. The statements of the huntsmen and others following the hounds having been taken, it was decided not to take proceedings against Mr Holdsworth at present, as Mr Parsons thought the wounded hound might recover. Indignation waa expressed by supporters of: the hunt at the 1 action of Mr Holdsworth as he had been looked upon as friendly to the Club, and ■ bad given no notice of his objections to the , hounds.
