MERIVALE v. SYDENHAM.
This game was played on Saturday at the Old Show Grounds, and resulted in a win for Merivale by six points (a goal and throe tries) to one point (one try). The Merivale supporters expected their men to win anyhow, but when the weak team that turned up to represent Sydenham was noticed, the local men's admirers lost all heart, and confident prophecies of a big defeat for Sydenham were plentiful.
CHEIST'S COLLEGE V. ADDINGTON,
There was very little interest taken in this game, which Addington won by thirteen points to three.
