THE FEDERAL COUNCIL.
ADELAIDE, A piiil 19. Eeplying to the request of the Legislative Assembly for a further increase of representation by South Australia on the Federal Council in accordance with the recommendations of the Council, Lord Enutsford states that he is unable to advise the Queen to issue an Order-in-Council. Before any increase is made all the colonies concerned should send a request to the Queen.
