It Las been agreed between thebootmakers and their employers to refer the wages dispute to arbitration. The Socialists declare that the Jabour demonstration on May 1, will be carried out everywhere without any disorder. i;Keceived April 18, at 12.40 p.m."] LONDON, April. 17, The Trades Unions have published a manifesto, stating that May 1 is unsuitable for the eight hours' demonstration in Hyde Park, and appointing. After a stormy meeting between the representatives of workmen and the Chamber of Commerce, it was ultimately decided that twelve trades should be represented on the Conciliation Committee. Arrangements are being made to enforce order during the May demonstration.
