The Volunteer Pokce.— The Wellington Evening Press is responsible for the statement tbfet at the end of this year the Defence Department purpose disbanding the whole of the Volunteer force throughout the Colony, and creating a partiallypaid force. It sbates also that this was the meaning of the circular sent round to officers commanding corps last month, warning them not to incur further liabilities for uniforms, &c.
