UNIVERSITY SENATE.
[Pee Press Association.] DUNEDIN, Feb. 27. The University Senate to-day reappointed Sir Jameß Hector, Chancellor, and the Roy J. C. Andrew, Vice-Chancellor. A Committee was appointed to consider the medical undergraduates' petition for extra examination each year. Sir Eobert Stout moved to the c-ffecfc that it be referred to a Committee to consider whether pass degress could not bo put on a more satisfactory footing, and specialisation of studies be permitted. The motion was lo3t by 10 to 5.
