The Hew Zealand Shipping Company, Limiteclj hare receiyed the following cable message:— LONDOiI, Fsb. 5. The EJH.S. Tongariro arrived at Plymouth yesterday, all well, with her.meat <sargq in. good condition. [Pee Pbjess Association.] DUNEDnf, Feb. 6. At the wool' sales to-day, a cable message reporting a decline of 5 to ?£ per cent in merinos at the London sales, had the result of affecting the market. There was a good demand for light, crosabreds, fine and long stapled, and prices were satisfactory. Prime merinos were not offered in largo lots. The supply, however was equal to the demand, as buyers did not seem to be impressed with the desirability of purchasing in heavy lots. On. tke whole/ the sales were^atisfactbry, prices being, with the exception mantioneiLabove, wellm&intained.
