The Board meton Wednesday,., Jan_.___. •; present; — Messrs J..H. Baker (Chairman), D-M'Mfflan, W. Kiteon,. and A.C. Wilson. The following business- w&s transacted. — Section 36Q70, 18 acres, in Ashbnrton Connty, was granted to Mr C. -L-Harper... Section 36671, in the same County, 80 acres, was granted to Mr F. de C. Malet. Section 28 of Beserve 198, 50 acres, at Medbuxy, was granted on village homestead special settlement conditions to Mr George Manson. Beserve 176 and the old improvement pre-emptive right P adjoining, comprising 45 acres, in the Geraldine Survey District, was granted to Mr H. Wright for cash. Seotion sof Reserve 1381 at Hinds was granted on perpetual lease to Mr James Annefcfc. Fifteen acres, being lot No. 1 of subdivision of Section 34376 in the Waimate County, was granted nnder the Half-caste Grant Act of 1888 to Andrew Wixon. Four applications for revaluation of land under the " Selectors' Land Be valuation Act, 1889," were referred to the Banger to report upon. Beports were read on a number of deferred payment and perpetual lease holdings in North and South Canter-, bury, in which the selectors are not complying with the conditions, and the ! -Board ordered notices to be sent out ! requesting satisfactory explanations, or [ the sections would be forfeited. With | regard to the leases of the grazing tenancies round Lake Ellesmere, the Board decided that they would renew them for periods varying from two to twelve months, according to-position. This concluded the bnsiness, and the. Board adjourned i-Ql Thursday, Feb. 6.
