U.A.O.D.

Some sixty members of thia Order assembled atthe Terminus Hotel on Tuesday evening, the occasion being the presentation of diplomas to brethren who have held the position of District President in No. 20 District. The chair was taken by the present District President, Bro J. C. Hobaon. Amongst those present were Messrs Loughrey, M.H.E., Toomer, Bergh, and Willsteed. After the good things provided by Host Storey had been disposed o£ the brethren adjourned to the large halL The following toasts were honoured :— "The Queen and Royal Family," proposed by Bro J. C. Hobson, D.P. j "The House of Representatives," coupled with the name of Bro Loughrey, proposed by Bro Willsteed; "The U.A.0.D.," proposed by jßro Thomas Gapes, coupled with the name of BroHobson; "Kindred Societies," proposed by Bro Skinner; "Our Honorary Members," proposed by Bro Alpe. Songs and recitations were contributed by P.D.P. Bro Petrie, Bros Madden, Chase, Pcnfold, Barnes, Hutton, Byers, Barns, and Hobson. The following are the names of the P.D.P.'a to whom the diplomas were presented:— Bros Willeteed, Taylor, Davis, Penfold, and Petrie. The presentations were made by D.P. Bro Hobson, Bro Bergh, Bro Loughrey, Bro Bullivant, and P.D.P. Bro Skinner. The recipients suitably responded. The toasts of "The Past Officers of 13 and 20 Districts," " The Press," and y" The Host," brought a most enjoyable evening to a clobo.— A meeting of Past Officers of the above Order will be held to-morrow evening in th© Druids* Hall, when the reception of Grand Lodgo officers and the inauguration of. ft-Distriot
