Second Day. [p.eb p.beß3 aßbociation/j WELLINGTON, Nov. 18. The concluding day's racing of the Wellington Bacing Club was well attended, and fine weather was experienced. The racing throughout waa good, and the handicapping has been first-class all round, all the principal handicaps giving the Judge work to decide. For the first mile there was little to choose between the four, and then Clyde drew out followed by Ariel and Haven, All Day being beaten. At the last jump Clyde was a length and a >.alf to the good of Ariel, but the favourite came down, leaving Ariel to win as he liked. Haven six lengths away second, and All Day a bad third. Shortly after the Btart Minnie Palmer rushed to the front, followed by Weka, Lenore and Forester in that order. After going three-quarters of a mile Minnie Palmer fell back beaten, and Montrose took up the running, closely attended by Lenore and Forester. This trio were the only three in the race, and landed into the straight with little to choose between them. Montrose had the inside position, and Lenore was in the middle, where her jockey was unable to use the whip. Fifty yards from home, Foreater got bis neck in front and won by that, Montrose being a capital third. Time— 2min 14jsee. Dividend, £2 13s. BELLING HANDICAP, of 40 soys.
