Cttst School Committee. — The ordinary meeting of the Cust School Committee took place on Monday evening ; present — Messrs S. Head (Chairman), Lee, Tallatt, M'Kie, Sandercock, and Innes. The monthly report of the Master showed the number on roll 110, average attendance 88. Intimation was given that the term of Mr G. Cromie, as fourth-year pupil teacher, i would expire next month. An application J for the vacancy was received from Miss Mary Gardiner. The Chairman was instructed to write to the Board, favouring the appointment of Miss Gardiner. Mr Lee handed in the sum of £3 19b, proceeds of an entertainment given by Mr Meredith in aid of the prize fund. It was resolved— " That an entertainment be held to supplement the amount in hand, and that a special meeting be held on Monday evening to complete arrangements for the same." Mr William Crysell interviewed the Committee re dispute about the boundary fence. After consideration, it was agreed that Mr Crysell be requested to refer his complaint to the Board. The Master asked for and obtained permission to examine for prizes the children attending the Stoke school. An amount of routine business was transacted.
