Rhodes Convalescent Home

The monthly meeting of the Committee waß held at the office of the Home, Cathedral square, on Wednesday last ; preßent — Messrs A. E. G. Rhodes, P. Cunningham, L. Harper, R. Heaton Rhodeß, and the Hon Secretary. During the past month fifteen patients were admitted, and nineteen left the Home. The Secretary's report was read and adopted. The photos taken by Mr Wheeler, of the interior and exterior of the building, were put before the Committee and approved, and the Secretary was authorised to forward the same, suitably framed, to the Dunedin Exhibition. The following donations during the past month were reported :— Mr J. Andersen, watchmaker, one large clock; " Anonymous " Friend, one handsome dining-room clock; Mr W. ActonAdams, portable Turkish bath, and unanimous votes of thanks were passed to the generous donors. A considerable amount of routine business was got through, the monthly accounts were passed for payment, and the meeting separated.
