BAND CONTEST.
DUNEDIN, Nov. 6. The Exhibition band contest has been fixed for March 13, 14, and 15, and is open to the world. The prizes are .£IOO, £4,5, JS3O, and .£2O, with special prizes for quickstep and solo playing ; maximum number of players, 25 j minimum, 15. INSOLVENT. An application will be made to-morrow before the Registrar to have J. A. Barr declared a bankrupt. PRESBYTERIAN SYNOD. The session of the Presbyterian Synod was concluded thiß afternoon.
