[Pbb Pbers Association.] FRENCH ADMIRAL. .. GENERAL EDWARDS. ' CABINET MEETINGS. WELLINGTON, Nov. 7. The French. Admiral telegraphs to the Colonial Secretary that time will not permit his remaining for the Exhibition. Major-General Edwards is preparing a report on the New Zealand defences. He leaves for Auckland on Friday to catch the 'Frisco mail steamer for Sydney. During the last two days, Ministers have been Bitting in Cabinet, but it is understood that their business has been purely departmental.
