o — IVY OF LINWOOD LODGE,' No. 233. The fortnightly meeting of this Lodge was held on Thursday evening, A.D., Bro P. W. Penfold presiding. There waa a good attendance of visitors, conspicuous amongst them being P.D.P., Bro Willsteed, P-A., Bro Harris, A.D.'s, Bros Nathan and Hauptfleisch, and Bro E. E. Isaacs. One honorary member and two financial members were initiated, and three candidates proposed for initiation next Lodge night. The balance-sheet for the half year, and the Auditor's report were presented, but owing to a slight alteration in the former having been found necessary, it was decided that consideration of the same should be deferred until next Lodge night. The election of officers for the ensuing term resulted as follows : — A.D., Bro T. Hale; V.A., Bro R. J. Alpe; Secretary, Bro H. A. Everaleigh, and Treasurer, Bro D. W. Smart, re-elected; M.S., Bro T. RanHn; A.D. Bards, Bros H. Calcutt and T. A. B. Maskew; V.A. Bards, Bro3 Mills and Irwin ; I.G. Bro W. G. Williams; 0.G., Bro J. Barker. The installation ceremony waa conducted in the usual impressive manner by the D.P., Bro H. B. Davis, kindly assisted by P.D.P., Bro Willsteed. The District President complimented the -brethren upon the satisfactory progress made by the Lodge during the past six months, it having doubled its numbers in that time. He would always take a warm interest in its welfare, and wished it future good luck and prosperity. P.A. Bro A. D. Nathan predicted a prosperous career for the Lodge, and expressed delight with what he had seen during the evening. P.A. Bro J. C. Hobson, of the Anchor Lodge, was nominated for the position of District President. All the officers returned thanks, as did also the retiring Arch Druid, Bro F. W. Penfold, who expressed his intention o£ continuing to do his utmost for the Lodge. P.D.P. Bro Willsteed, to whom a vote of thanks was accorded for hi 3 valuable assistance, made a few suitable remarks. The visitors were also thanked for their attendance, and the Lodge was closed in due form.
