I Constable Franklin, stationed at Mahakipawa, has just come into town, having effected a very clever arrest at the Waikakaho diggings this morning. Threa men stuck up a butcher in a dray while he was on his way from Cullensviile (Mahakipawa diggings) to the MahaMpawai creek, and robbed him of £& odd. The matter was reported to the police, and Constable Franklin succeeded in arresting one of the trio at Waikakaho this morning, and to-night lodged him safely in Blenheim gaol.
