SERIOUS TROUBLE.
THE NAVAL COMMAND IN QUEENSLAND. [Srncui-TO Pbxbs Association. J BRISBANE, Oct. 25. Ataerioua complication has arisen with egard to the naval command in Queensand. It appearß that Government granted Jommander H. T. Wright, R.N., of the ratine defences, leave of absence until his erm of office had expired, but refused to pay ds salary for the nnexpired period, and zdered Lieutenant Taylor to assume oznmsad of the defences. Commander I7xight refused to hand over the Queensland gunboat Gayundah, stores aid arms, ana placed Lieutenant White aider arrest, alleging that he -was pntty <rf breach of discipline. He also leclaxed that, flying the white ensign, he ras not amenable to the Queensland ■rovernmentj and at once prepared the laynndah for sea. A body of police, armed dthcarbineß,wereheldinreadmees toboard ;he vessel; but in the meantime Comnander Wright, after parleying with the Jndex-Secretary-for the Colony, agreed to esvethe vessel and proceed to Sydney to Hscusathe-question with Admiral Fairfax.
