THE MINERS' STRIKE.
A GLOOMY OUTLOOK. [Special to Press Association.] , SYDNEY, August 12. The miners at Newcastle have been unable to come to terms with the managers, and ' have given notice that after fourteen days j from Monday they will go out on strike. I There is no sign whatover of the miners' ' ; difficulty being settled, and the outlook for the trade is gloomy. -MELBOUBNE, August 12. There is great consternation in this city i at the threatened miners' strike at New- [ caetle, as there is only about a week's ! supply of coal in Melbourne.
