TfiESPASSING INT PUBSUIT OF GAME.— Chargeß preferred by Robert Duncan against four persons for trespassing in pursuit of game were withdrawn on the application of the | prosecutor, mado through Mr Spackman, prosecutor bein/j satisfied with an explanation given by t'ae defendants. Ciosikg a Eoad. — Oa the application of the Maadevil'e and Rangiora 'iioad Board, the Bench confirmed a resolution closing a road leading through R/c5. 826, from the North road to the Native Reservo 873, and giving the land to Mr H. Heinamann in exchange for a piece of land to be opened as a public ror.d. • Civil Cases — Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the cases of H. Turner v. J. Lee, claim 10s ; same v,. W. Paterson (a Maori), claim 15s ; s&me v. C. M'Coy, claim Bs. £1 was paid into Court, but as this did not cover the 'expenses the case wad ordered to stand over for a fortnight. — A number of clau&s by the Eangiora Borough Council ay.d the Ashley Road Board for unpaid raAes were all settled ou<; of Court.
