Dnuimsai. — The fortnightly meeting of the Anchor Lodgo, No. 120, U.A.0.D., was held at the Gddie .lows' Hall, Woolston, on Wednesday last. Bro A. W. Hancock, Arch-Drnid, presided^ There was a fair attendance of members and several visitors from other Lodges, Eros Fester, Bailey, and Smith, of the Hope of Sfc Albans, Bro Haggarty, P.A. of the Pioneer, and Bro E. Isaacs, of the Otago Lodge, being present. After the correspondence had been dealt with, the recommendation of the Juvenile Management Committee to hold a concert aud ball on the occasion of the Lodge's anniversary was -(brought forward, but consideration was deferred till quarter night. i>ro Kb odes drew the Lodge's attention to several matters in connection v;ith the address delivered hy Mr E. Mason, Registrar, and eventually tabled a notice of motion tbfife moiiibars so desirous be allowed to pay double contribution to the sick fund, and receive proportionate benefits. Three candidates wore proposed for membership, after wliich the Lodije adjourned for harmony, when Bios Papps, Penfold, Goldsmith, Selwood, Hobson, Smith, Rhodes, Bailo.y, aud Maiudonald contributed songs, ami Bro Isaacs gave two recitations, which were uadoubtedty the feature of the evening, in a style hardly to be surpassed.
