Temuka Butter and Cheese Factory.

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Directors of the Temuka Dairy Company was held on Friday afternoon, at the Secretary's office; present — Messrs J. Brown (Chairman), Barker, Mason, Scott, and Dr J. S. Hayes. The Secretary reported that shipments of cheese had been forwarded to Wellington, Brisbane, ani London. The milk delivered at the factory during the month of February amounted to 26,785 gallons. For this the sum of JET 334 Ids ?d had been paid. It was decided to exhibit cheese at the approaching Melbourne Exhibition. A cablegram from Home was read, stating that a portion of the first consignment of cheese had been sold in London at the rate of 52a per cwt. A letter published ~by Mr W. D. Sutherland, of Dunedin, advocating the appointment of an inspector to examine dairy produce intended for Home shipment, was read, and his suggestion approved of. Certain routine business was disposed of, and the meeting terminated.
