THE UNIVERSITY SENATE.
[Peb Press Association.] DUNEDIN, March 9. At the __eet.ng.of the University Senate some regulations as to the convocation were adopted. The following names were ordered to be forwarded to the London agent as examiners in music, the selection to be, as far as possible, in the order indicated -*- -Drs Stainer, Bridge, Garrett, and Rule. Inthe matriculation examination, section 2, English dictation is omitted, and spelling ahd punctuation will be considered in awarding marks. The Chancellor was authorised to call a special meeting on the arrival of the examiners' report. The members of the Senate afterwards paid a visit to the Boys' High School.
