FATAL ACCIDENT. AUCKLAND, Makch 9. The Board of Education have appointed W. H. Airey, assistant teacher of the Thames High School, to the position of Junior Inspector of Schools in the Auckland district. There were twelve applications, including several from the south, and in the final voting Mr Airey received four votes, and Mr Owen J. Hodge, of Dunedin, three.
