MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
CHRISTCHURCH. This Dat. (Before R. Beetham, Esq., R.M.)
Civil Cases. — Judgment was given for the plaintiffs by default, with coats, in tho following cases :— Egan v. Parsons, claim JE4S 14s 6d; and H. Clark v. Napier and Napier, claim £32 11s 10d; In the second action of H. Chirk v. Napier and Napier, the plaintiff sought to recover the possession of household goods left in the defendants' care when plaintiff went to Kiniberley. The defendants had refused to give them up. The plaintiff now claimed £80, the value of the goods, and JB2O as compensation for their detention. The Court ordered the defendants to deliver up the goods, and to pay to the plaintiff .£5 as compensation. — Church Property Trustees v. Stevenson was adjourned until the following morning.
