THE CANADIAN-PACIFIC RAILROADS ENTERPRISE.
The project of placing a fleet of steamers on the route between Vancouver, 8.C., and China and Japan, has already compelled the Occidental and Oriental Companies of San Francisco to lower both passenger and freight rates. Steamship Company, left Vancouver, British Colombia, on the night of Juae 21 with a full passenger list and cargo. On the return trip to Yokohama and China, the Mayor and Council went on board in a body, and wished the captain a pleasant voyage. Tho cargo consisted of 2700 tons Wellington coal, 100 tons Oregon flour, and a small list of miscellaneous freight. Among the passengers were ft number of Chinese.
