An Awkward Coach Accident.

NAPIER, Jolt 29. The mail coach running between Palmerston and Woodville met with a narrow escape yesterday. Jnst aa the coach was entering the Gorge, the hind wheel became detached, and - the coach all but toppled over into the river. Had the accident ooourred three hundred yardß higber up, nothing would have saved the coach and passengers from being precipitated into the Manawatu. After a delay of twenty minutes the coach was righted. Mr Ivess, candidate for Napier, was a passenger.
