CABINET MEETING.
LORD SANDHURST: WEHJIMTGTOMi. V**. *. A meeting of the Cabinet was held at Sir Jolins Vogel's residence to-day. It was attended by Sic J. i^dgel ; Sir B. Stout, Mr Ballance, Mb; Tole, .Mr Buckley, and Mr Richardson. The- question of the delegates to the Imperial Conference was freely discussed, but -nothing waa definitely settled, but it will ,bft finally decided tomorrow. Other matters whioh had accumulated daring the abaenee of th* Ministers were discussed, ba4»n nothing: was made public. The names off Sir Eobert Stout and Major A.tsrinsoß,,are • freely mentioned in town as likely to .g» to London to represent New Zealand.) Lord Sandhurst,' who formerly held the position of Uttder-Seeretary for War in the Gladstone Administratioß, is at present in Wellington, aadtbad* an interview with the Defence Minister, to-day, when he had a long conversation on the defences of the Colony, and the attitude of the Colonies towards the Mother Country. — — —
