COURSING.
CANTERBUBY CLUB. A large number of members attended the meeting of the above Club at the Shade3 on Saturday night. A meeting will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 17 and 18, when the Canterbury Cup, for all ages at 3gs each, and the Juvenile Plate, for puppies at 2gs, will be decided, entries for which close at 9 p.m. on Monday, August 16, at the Shades Hotel. Nearly 20 entries for the Cup, and over a dozen for the puppy event, were guaranteed in the room, bo that a good meeting may be looked • forward to. The Secretary was instructed to write to Mr
Bailey to obtain permission to course over i hie property at Templeton.
