The S.S. Taupo.
— • [Pro Press Absociation.] NAPIEE. April 29. The Taupo arrived at 2.15 this morning, She was met and accompanied to hei anchorage hy the steam launch Boojam, ■which had gone out half an hour before. The Taupo waa brought inside and berthed at the breastwork and lightened aft, and so put down by the head for the purpose of raising her stern so that the remains of the broken propeller blades might he removed and new ones screwed on. An inquiry into the circunmtancea was held thia afternoon, before the Collector of Customs. Tho evidence taken will be forwarded to Wellington. Keporters were not admitted. The vessel does not leak, and no plates appear to bo broken, though her bottom ia considerably bulged. She is feeing lightened aft so that the screw can be got at, and as soon as tho two new blades are pnt in, she will snil on her voynge, unless ordered to return to Duruidiu.
