The Charitable Aid Board.
PUBLIC OPINION IN SYDENHAM. A requisition ia in course of preparation in Sydenham — many signatures being al- | ready attached thereto— asking the Mayor j to call a public meeting for the purpose of j considering the action of the Borough representatives on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, more particularly with reference to the dismissal of the master and matron of tho Orphan- | age. The Sydeuhatn representatives are Messrs William White and James Forrester (one of the minority) ; and Mr Forrester is also Mayor of the Borough. Mr R. M. Taylor, it is understood, moves in the matter at this evening's meeting of the Sydenham Borough Council, and tho action of the burgesses is intended to support him in doing so.
