Tho supplies of stook Boat to the Addington yards on Wednesday were bat moderate, aud the attendance was not large. Sheep,— Thero was not a heavy supply of fat sheep by any moans, bat fully nmplo to meot all requirements during the presont Btnto of trade. As at h\st week's sale, merino wethers represented a considerable proportion of the entry, while there j were not wanting some few lines of prime quality cross-lureds. Although we cannot quote any aotual advance in prices, there was yet a little more free dom in the biddings, especially for oroBS-breds, the result being a olearanoe of nearly every line, prices being firm and equal to last week's quotations. Prime cross-bred wethers sold at from 8b 9d to 9s 6d ; medium weights, mixed sexes, 7s to 8s ; oweß, 5b to 7a ; the best merino wethers, to 6a 3d; light-weights and Bocond-claas lines, 3s upwards. The quotations perlb may ho considered unaltered. Only oneor two lines of inferiorstore Bheep were on offer, viz., a pen of cull lambs, which sold at 3s, and a pen of aged cross-bred ewes, which also sold at 3s. A Bomewhat Btnaller entry of fat latnbß was penned. A considerable decreaso in supplies mu>t now be expected, as tho end of tho season has almost arrived. There is little or no hope now lot any improvement in prices, which are at from 5a to 6a for the best, inferior to medium, 3s to 4s. Cattih.— A numerous entry of fat cattle came forward. Biddings wore very slow, and the sale was no improvement on the very dull markets lately experienced. We quote beef at from 16s to 17s per 1001 b. There was but a small supply of store cattlo. Vory few bujera were present, and not much business was done. Of dairy cows, howerer, there was a large number on offer. These met witi a brisk demand at very satisfactory prices, sales being made up to £9 per head for really good cows. PzOß^~Tho number of pigs on offer was not half so large as at the sales of the pnat two weeks. A somewhat improved domand was shown, but we oannot report any alteration iv values.
