[Special to thb " Stab."] RACECOURSE, FORBURY, Feb. 25. The weather this morning ia again very threatening, but instead of being close and hot, as it was yesterday, it is just the reverse. Mainboom was quickest on her legs, and led over the first hurdle, followed by Marquis and Trapper, but on settling down the latter ran into second place, with Borderman on her quarters, and Master Agnes bringing up the rear. Mainboom continued her lead round the back of the course, and when six furlongs had been covered, was leading Borderman by a length, after whom came Trapper, Marquis, Kingask, and Master Agnes, m that order. No change took place until passing the stand the second time, when Master Agnes passed Marquis and Kingask. Half a mile from home Borderman and Trapper caught Mainboom, and Kingask ran up into fourth place. Borderman and Mainboom took the last hurdle together, in advance of Trapper, and an exciting race home ensued. Kingask then came through, and, wearing his horses down, caught Borderman a chain from home, and won all out by a bare length, Borderman beating Mainboom by a neck for second money. An excellent start was effected, and Sierra was first to show in front, with a neck advantage of Apropos, who had Artillery on her quarters.
