Licensing Committee Elections.
* SOUTH RAKAIA. The following is the result of tho polling here. There was very little interest shown. Only one of the candidates (Mr Chamberlain) seemed at all anxious, and he rolled a few voters to the booth : — Messrs W. L. Allan, 19 ; E. S. Coster, 18 ; A. Chamberlain, 18; D. G. Holmps, 17; W. M. Lyttelton, 17; L. Oxley, 7; W. M'lnman, 1. Mr Mutter was nominated, but withdrew. Messrs Alias, Coster, Chamberlain, Holmes, and Lyttelton, were declared duly elected. Only 20 ratepayers voted.
