Licensing Committees.
THIS DAT. AVON. The first meeting of the newly-elected Licensing Committee for the Avon District was held at the rooms of the Selwyn County Council at 10.30 a.m. to-day ; present—Messrs H. J. Hall, W. Fleaher, H. Nunweek, J. Taylor, and the Eev J. OB. Hoare. On the motion of Mr Nunweek, seconded by Mr Taylor, Mr H. J. Hall was unanimously elected Chairman for the ensuing year. Mr Hall thanked the Committee for his election, and the Committee adjourned.
