«- An ordinary meeting of the Christchurch District Local Board of Health was held last night after the meeting of the Drainage Board ; present— Messrs Malet (in the chair), Taylor, Rhodes, Barnes, Manning, Hosking and Hewitt. , A petition was read from 37 inhabitants of the Heathcote district, calling attention to a mass of mud and stagnant water at the junction of Parish and William streots, which they considered dangerous to health, j The Inspector of Nuisances reported that the road in question had not been formed or taken over. He forwarded a copy of a ; notice which he proposed serving on Mr ' Parish, trustee of the proporty, calling on him to abate the nuisance. j It was decided to serve Mr Parish with ' the notice suggested by the Inspector. | This was all the business, and the Board adjourned. j
