TOTALISATOR INVESTMENTS.
CUP SPECULATION. DUNEDIN, Dec. 2. A total of _81.,379 was put through the totalisators yesterday. During the recent race meeting there was considerable wagering over the Dunedin Cup. July is first favourite at 100 to 12 (off). Lady Emma was yesterday backed for fully J33000 at 100 to 8; and 10 to 1 is now the best offer. Captain Webster was taken for a fair sum at 100 to 7, at which price Vanguard and Nonsense found friends. Several wagers were written on the Auckland and Dunedin Cups at 100 to 3, Black Rose and Lady Emma being the favourite pick.
