He had no doubt that several members of the House would move to obtain the necessary authority to enable Government to make a grant of land to the Industrial Association next session. Richardson would remain in Christchurch about a week. The Chairman suggested the Railway Tariff, Malvern hills railway extension, concrete pipes, and other subjects, that might be brought under the notice of the Minister. It was decided that the President, Messrs Jenkins, Kirk and Banks should wait on the Board of Governors on Monday next and report the result of their interview to the following meeting of the* Coinraittee. INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION. The Chairman said he had forwarded a letter to the Government offering, on behalf of the Association, to assist in securing the full representation of Canterbury in the proposed Industrial Exhibition, to be held ia Wellington next year.
