[Reuter's Telegrams.] [Received Nov. 21, at 12.30 p.ni.l MELBOURNE, Nov. 21. At the enquiry held at Adelaide i_t» the protest lodged against Rufus for the V.R.C. Derby, it was shown that the horse waa correctly nominated by the owner.

FOUND DROWNED. AUCKLAND, Nov. 21. Government have agreed to pay in full the claims of the consignees of the apples destroyed in consequence of the codlin moth proclamation. A man named Payne has been found drowned in the Kaukapakapu creek.
