Verdict for Plaintiff— £10,000 Damages. ; \by electric telegraph— copyright.} [Reuter's Telegrams.] [Received Nov. 21, at 11.15 p.m. j LONDON, Nov. 20. The trial of the breach of promise action, Miss Eortescue versus Viscount G-armoyle opened to-day. The defendant consented to a verdict for the plaintiff, with damages ,£IO,OOO, the full amount claimed.
CAIRO, Nov. 20. Intelligence is to hand from Dongola that the Nile is now falling rapidly, and in consequence many of the boats sent to the front are useless for the passage of the cataracts.
