JUNIOR CUP MATCHES.
College v. Lancaster Park Club (Denham's Eleven). — This match was begun at Hagley Park on Saturday, and, so far, is in favour of the College. Score for the first innings : — College, 08 (Cox 44, Harman 13) ; Lancaster Park Club, 86 (Ridley and Denham 25 each, Clark 16).
A match between the Second Eleven of Lancaster Park and the Juniors of the same Club was played on Friday. Scores : — Seniors, 53 and 118 (Denham, Marshall, Mountfort and Cooke, chief scorers) ; Juniors, 40 and 51 (Jones, Shannon and Bates scored double figures, Bailey secured 10 wickets). On Saturday the Lancaster Park Juniors beat Ashbourne by 58 rims on the first innings. Scores : — Ashbourne, 36 ; Juniors, 94 (Bailey, Tombs and Shannon, highest scorers for the latter). Stanmore v. Riccarton. — Scores :—Stanmore, 64 (Pattison 17) ; Riccarton, 37 (Whittair 15).
TIMARU, Nov. 16. The present cricketing season promises well, and some capital scores are being made. In a fair all-round match yesterday, Cecil Perry, for Timaru Club, made 105 not out, Hughes 66, the total running well into the third hundred.
