Whitaker. He returns to England next January. NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 17. Sir John Hall landed here from the mail steamer last night, and was met by Major Atkinson. He will remain here till Wednesday morning, and then goes overland to Wellington, as he wishes to see the country. He states that his health has much improved 6ince leaving England. Whilst in London he visited most of the markets where Colonial produce was on sale, and has gathered much information useful to exporters. He visited Samuel Page's establishment, where the cheese sent by the Waikato Cheese Company and a Christchurch firm was in stock. He says the Colonial cheese was much superior to the American, and realised 503 to GOs. The best time for cheese to arrive Home is in December or January, when the market is comparatively bare of American importations. He believes it will find a good market at Homo if it arrives between November and March.
